The Opportunity
This role is crucial for maintaining the edge of the Nutanix Distributed Storage Fabric (NDSF) - a high-performance shared-nothing distributed file system. This storage stack is the foundational piece to enable hyper-convergence and hybrid cloud solutions. The software-defined storage helps us power infrastructure for all kinds of applications on all kinds of platforms. We’re looking for a hands-on Tech Lead with 8-12 years of experience who is passionate about technology and enjoys turning ideas into impactful solutions.

About the Team
The CDP team was the first team created at Nutanix. The team is responsible for the Nutanix Distributed Storage Fabric (NDSF) - a high-performance shared-nothing distributed file system.
We are hiring for the Stargate team within the CDP umbrella. The Stargate team is the "data-engine" of the distributed file system, which handles all the IO requests, places data, dedupe, compression, encryption, healing from failures, etc.
Team's primary technology stack: C++, Golang, Java

Someone who loves to build, solve, and push boundaries. - Develop a deep understanding of complex distributed systems, and design innovative solutions for customer requirements
- Improve performance, scale-out and resiliency of our distributed data-path and control plane
- Work closely with other development teams, testers, documentation writers and product management to deliver high-quality products in a fast-paced environment
- Engage with customers and support when needed to solve production issues
What You Will Bring
- Love of programming and expertise in one or more languages: C++/Java/ Golang
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and analysis techniques
- Familiarity with ESXi/KVM virtualization systems management.
- Experience with any of: API development, Microservices, Distributed systems
- Experience in storage or related fields
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
- Can-Do attitude while solving difficult problems spanning multiple teams.
- 8-12 years of software development experience in product development companies.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
